This is Opal, a Giant Pacific Octopus at the Bellingham Marine Life Centre. She was saved from a dinner plate and is being housed in a 3,000 gallon system while they’re waiting to release her back at her capture site. Apparently her favourite enrichment item is a baby toy ball ❤️

Opals temporary caretaker has a TikTok too, and she’s said that Opal was initially caught for being a “nuisance” to local shrimpers. She’s very lucky she got saved!

Not every inflammatory soundbite or quote represents a person's full or current views. To shoot down your allies because of an unrelated instance of "wrong opinion" is foolish at best and actively harmful at worst.
